Missed an opportunity to see the short film nominations during the recent spell of awards this year? Do not worry, Encounters is hosting a whole season of Nominated Shorts at the Watershed, Bristol from April – June. Celebrating our recent achievement of qualifying for some of the world's most prestigious awards, and launching this year's call for submissions, so please pop down and judge for yourself who should have won the gong! (Warning: Heated discussions may ensue!)
In partnership with Shorts International, BAFTA and the European Film Academy, we will screen the 2010/2011 nominated short films from the Oscars® (Live-Action and Animation), BAFTAs (Live-Action and Animation) and European Film Awards (Shorts Matters! 1, 2, 3)
Sadly there will be no red carpet, but every ticket holder gets 15% off a drink at the Café/Bar after the screening, which is pretty fancy- so please pop down and join us for a chat and a toast to the Short Films of 2011- Cheers!
